Antonio Bartesaghi,
Founder and President
Antonio Bartesaghi is an entrepreneur, and CEO of Omet SRL, a multi-division manufacturing company in Lecco, Italy.
Antonio was born in 1971 in Lecco, the second of three children, to an entrepreneurial father who manufactured paper napkin machines. As a child, Antonio was so intrigued by his father’s job that he spent time after school in the manufacturing facility observing, helping, and developing his own strong entrepreneurial spirit. After engineering studies at Milan Politecnico, he spent a year and a half working at a lathe and milling machines manufacturing company, The Gildemeister Group in Germany. There, he worked in manufacturing as well as in the technical and production planning offices.
Antonio studied several years in the U.S. and completed an MBA in Italy before beginning to work at the family business. He first managed a cosmetics company, founded by his father in 1989, and after four years, became Operations Manager for the machine manufacturing company. Today, Antonio is CEO of the family business, Omet SRL, which includes a machine manufacturing division, ball bearing manufacturing division, and wet wipes manufacturing company.
For the past eight years, Antonio has been a board member of Confindustria Lecco, the Lecco branch of the Association of Italian Manufacturing Companies. He also serves as Vice President of Cancro Primo Aiuto Onlus, a volunteer organization that helps people and hospitals prevent and cure cancer. He also is a Lecco Lions Club member. Antonio lives in Lecco and is the proud father of four children.
